Sabbath Trail
Opening August 20, 2023
We at Cullman Seventh-day Adventist Church want to provide opportunities to improve the health in our community. In 2023, we plan to open a new trail system to the public built for hiking and biking enthusiasts - beginners and experts alike.
For millions of Americans, trails are a link to the outdoors, providing opportunities for recreation and exercise. Many are realizing the benefits of having trails close to home. The following is an overview of the range of benefits that result from having these amenities woven into the fabric of communities across America.
-
Mental Health
There are many benefits of social connections and good mental health, including lower rates of anxiety and depression, higher self-esteem, greater empathy, and more trusting and cooperative relationships.
Our trails are a great way to get out from your normal routine into the peace and tranquility nature brings. Come with friends or meet new friends and build strong, lasting relationships.
-
Physical Health
Many people realize exercise is important for maintaining good health in all stages of life; however many do not regularly exercise. Our trails provide a safe, inexpensive avenue for regular exercise for people.
If you’re just starting out on your journey to better health, we have an easy to walk trail with benches for resting along the way. If you want something more challenging, we are building more advanced trails.

Spiritual Health
Nature is called “God’s Second Book.” You can’t help but be refreshed and renewed not only mentally and physically, but spiritually as well. God wants to restore you completely.
God has a special message for you as you walk the Sabbath Trail. We also have a prayer garden planned for the future. Learn more of Him and His character in His creation.
